A Class with a Purpose
Book Making 101 was created to fund and support the launch of the CLI Book Design Lab, a dedicated production space for emerging and established Black and Brown writers and designers. All tuition goes directly toward the development and long-term sustainability of this vital creative hub.
Flexible Hybrid Format

The course meets both in person at the CLI Book Production Lab in Los Angeles and online via Zoom. While we encourage students to join us in the lab for hands-on collaboration, remote learners are fully supported and welcome to join from anywhere in the world.
