This class focuses on training seasoned poets to create and finalize a manuscript for publication. The class culminates in the production of a book, and our annual AuthorDraft event, where authors pitch their manuscripts to local publishers.

The Black Library Class is an American literature class taught at USC, but open to the public. This class is focused on celebrating the accomplishments of these Black writers, and spreading the knowledge about the significance of Black literary heritage. At the end of the semester, each student will have a Black library. At the end of two semesters, that library will double in size!
