Join us as Avan presents excerpts from Mixed Feelings set to musical and visual accompaniment, and explores what it means to be mixed-race within a world increasingly fixated on racial identity. Mixed Feelings is a raw and moving collection of poetry, stories and art, that asks “what does it mean to be mixed?” The book explores the complicated emotions around race, identity, religion and family. It takes a deeply personal look at Avan’s stories, and the experiences of mixed-race individuals interviewed by Avan himself.

Avan Jogia is an actor, artist, musician, director and poet. A child of an Indian-British father and English-Irish mother, raised in Canada, he currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He can be found on Instagram @jogia
